FLYER - One in a Million (Rockballad 1993)
Influenced by bands such as Skid Row, Kiss and Whitesnake, FLYER tried to conquer the Hardrock scene in the early 90's. The band was formed by Guitarist/Vocalist SERGE LEJEUNE and Lead Guitarist JASPER JURIAN. Drummer RICHARD VAN LEEUWEN and Bassplayer RICHARD LEPELAAR joined the band soon. After a short try-out period, the band was noticed by the record label Dureco and released their debut album "Sell Your Soul" in 1992. Extensive touring followed: as support of VENGEANCE and as headliner of the package tour 3X HAAGSE HERRIE. After the first album, FLYER was dropped by their record label. Unfortunately, the band failed to find another record label. Uncertain about the musical direction to follow, the band fell apart mid-90's. SERGE LEJEUNE continued his carreer playing covers, while RICHARD VAN LEEUWEN at that point joined the Prog Death Metal band THRENODY.
