They belong to their respectful owners In 1984, an album produced by Quincy Jones broke record sales all around the world. It became one of the greatest records ever produced in the Rock-Pop era (with almost 100 million units sold as of 2010) and the artist that performed all the tracks in there, was claimed to be one of the best of its time. The name of the album? "Thriller" and the artist's identity? Michael Jackson. Enough said. In the same year, US was replying back within the charts to the Second British invasion with artists like Lionel Richie, Cindy Lauper, Hall & Oates, Prince, Madonna, Bonnie Tyler, etc. and the Glam Metal or Hair Metal groups like Van Halen, Mötley Crüe, Bon Jovi or Twisted Sister were on their high of popularity but another metal bands were paving their own way: Def Leppard, Metallica, Megadeth (this one founded by Dave Mustaine ex-Metallica guitarrist), Anthrax, among many others. Meanwhile, the Spanish spoken Rock and Pop began to fluorish with enough strength to be internationally noticed. Spain with "La Movida Madrileña" and Latin America awakening from the late 70's forced lethargy that kept their voice silent in those hard years, were exploding with a variety of artists that are now regarded as classics in a genre that eventually will be known as "Rock en Tu Idioma" (something that we will talk about with more detail in future parts of this series ...
